How I got into book publishing…
My initial pursuit in life was acting. I attended a performing arts high school in New Jersey, then double-majored in Literature and Theater at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, with a focus on Dramatic Literature. From there, I studied the Meisner Technique at William Esper Studio in NYC and then under the tutelage of the esteemed Marta DuBois in Los Angeles. I booked a couple of jobs and got an IMDb page, but I wasn't happy.
Ultimately, my love of acting was overshadowed by my anxiety about performing. I moved back to New York and fell into ghostwriting after meeting the greatest in the game, David Ritz. He told me, “Acting and ghosting aren’t so different. One just has a stage.” He was right. Studying dialogue, structure, and beats made me a better reader, writer, and collaborator.
Since then, I have worked on over 100 books in various capacities, both independently and in partnership with the Vigliano Associates literary agency. I live in New York with my dog Tybalt; he’s a schipperke.
